Heacock Classic’s Cars to Watch at Scottsdale

Posted by on Friday, January 29, 2016 in Articles, Event Recap, News, Scottsdale

With a few thousand collector cars trading hands this week and weekend, it’s a bit like a hungry man being led through a Roman buffet for many of us – so many great cars, and so little extra cash… so, since we’re not buying, we can always dream – here is a gallery of our favorites at the main auction houses in Scottsdale for 2016:

Scotts 2016 1

1965 Iso Grifo A3/C at Bonhams

Scotts 2016 2 BJ

1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet at Barret-Jackson

Scotts 2016 3 Russo

A pair of stellar Jags at Russo and Steele

Scotts 2016 4 Gooding

The actual 2014 Indianapolis 500 winning car at Gooding and Co.

Scotts 2016 5 RM

1929 Duesenberg Torpedo crossing the block at RM/Sothebys.  This one failed to sell at a high bid of $2.7 mill, but overall, RM enjoyed strong results.

With three more days of selling at Barrett-Jackson, it appears the Scottsdale Auction week is poised to eclipse the one-quarter of a billion dollar mark for closed sales once again this year.  We’ll bring you the final results as soon as they are available.
